4. I am incomplete without my friends.
5. I am an honor student and enjoy school.

I was born into a WONDERFUL family. Little did I know, when my mother signed me up for dance at age 6, that it would change my life! Yes, i was a VERY shy girl and still am. But get to know me, and you will be talking to one of the most craziest human in your life! My family is extremely religious, and did not believe in showbiz for a small-town girl like me. That is why I want to prove them wrong. As much as I love them, and they love me, I want them to support me in my dream. Most Indians believe that the only way you can be successful in life is to become a doctor, lawyer, or an engineer. I want to chase my dream, not theirs. Dancing gives me a way to express my emotions. I talk with my body movements. I think ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and even hip=hop is just a beautiful thing. Acting is another story, whenever I'd watch Hindi films with my parents, I would imagine myself as an actress in the movie; I would react the scenes at home. In fact, in my wacky world, I was a celebrity! Everyday, I would pretend I'm a glamorous actress. I actually still do that.:]

So as you can see, I am serious about this, but wonder sometimes, will I ever become what I want to because of my family's beliefs?
I will. I don't care what anyone says or tells me. I am a star. An undiscovered star.

-I have been dancing since the tender age of 6. Dancing is my lifelong forte. Without it, I am just plain ole' Priyanka Patel.

-On the other hand, when I'd watch movies at home, I'd pretend, or "act" as the leading actress.
One day I'd live as Jenna Dewan from Step Up, the next I'd be Beyonce in Dreamgirls.

-Singing? I enjoy singing to express my feelings. I sing because it makes me happy. However, I admit, don't ask me to hit some high notes;D

I am aiming to become a professional dancer, and later on to work in films or maybe even a permanent role in a Disney reality show. I understand that my dreams will take a while to pursue, however, I will put my best foot forward in my passion.
